ABOUT HIM

Sandro Suppnig is a director living between Madrid, Austria and Los Angeles. Born in Austria, Sandro brings his multi-cultural sensibility to the worlds that he creates across all formats. Educated in Paris and Los Angeles at the Université Paris Dauphine and at the UCLA School for Film, Theater &Television, respectively. He is fluent in 5 languages including German, English, French, Spanish and Italian.

 

BEGINNINGS

He started his career in New York City in the production of global advertising campaigns for fashion brands such as Missoni, Dsquared, H&M etc. and for special projects for entertainment clients including Madonna and Beyoncé. At that time, he collaborated with some of the world’s leading photographers. Sandro then gradually merged into the creative side of the industry and started to direct music videos, fashion films, and TV commercials.

 

HIS WORK

His emotionally charged films are defined by a mesmerizing visual style, an innate attention to detail, and a strong sense of narration. His work draws upon elements from film noir to the avant garde to pop art.

Sandro has been a vocal and tireless advocate for LGTBIQ causes throughout his career, most recently with a project called “Be Yourself”. The touching film encouraged LGTBIQ youth, transcended gender norms and borders, and was prominently featured in Vogue Italia for pride month.
